Full job description
If you’ve built a career in metals manufacturing quality and understand what it takes to meet DOE, DOD, or nuclear-level standards, this is your chance to step into a role with real ownership.
What You’ll Do
· Lead and manage NQA-1, ISO 9001, and quality management systems (QMS)
· Serve as the quality leader on the executive team, influencing strategic decisions
· Drive internal audits, external audits, compliance, and regulatory adherence
· Oversee corrective actions (CAPA), root cause analysis, and nonconformance systems
· Partner with operations to improve manufacturing quality, on-time delivery, and process control
· Lead continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and quality initiatives
· Ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, NDE, and customer specifications
This isn’t a “check-the-box” role. You will influence how quality is executed across the entire organization.
What We’re Looking For
· Strong background in metals manufacturing (machining, fabrication, or welding)
· Background in DOE, DOD, nuclear, or highly regulated industries
· Leadership experience managing quality assurance programs, QMS and personnel.
· Strong working knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, welding standards, and engineering specifications
Highly Preferred
· Experience with managing a NQA-1 or ASME Quality program (certified or trained)
· Familiarity with ASME (Section V, IX, III and NQA-1), AWS standards, and NDE standards and methods
· Experience supporting government or nuclear contracts
· Certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma
