What You'll Do
You'll run one of the most capable machines in our shop. The OKK HM500 delivers exceptional rigidity, rapid tool changes, and serious productivity. You'll own the process from setup through final inspection.
- Set up, operate, and monitor the OKK HM500 Horizontal Machining Center
- Load and unload materials, fixtures, and tooling efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
- Perform tool offsets and machine adjustments to maintain quality standards
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments
- Monitor machining processes and optimize cycle times for maximum productivity
- Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with programmers and supervisors
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment (6S standards)
- Take ownership of workmanship, inspection readiness, and compliance with safety and quality procedures
What You Need
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably on horizontal machining centers
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Skilled in layout and fabrication practices including hole patterns, penetrations, bend lines, and complex assembly configurations
- Familiarity with precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred (You'll Stand Out)
- Experience operating OKK or similar horizontal machining centers
- Experience in Mastercam
- Quality inspection background
